This video shows a commercial-scale harvesting operation of shrub willow biomass energy crops in New York State. The harvesting technology is a Case New Holland 130FB woody crops cutting header that fits onto any CNH 9000 series forage harvester with no modifications to the harvester or header. The system cuts and chips willow and other woody crops such as hybrid poplar in one pass, while collection vehicles follow beside the harvester and collect the harvested wood chips. This harvesting system is now commercially availalbe through CNH dealers, and available for rental at a reduced rate through the NEWBio equipment access program http://www.newbio.psu.edu/Extension/resources.asp
